The past 18 months has seen a major progression in my life, particularly a move to a permanent studio in Sudbury, Suffolk and completion of this website. After a successful open studio day in July 2006, I am hosting another from 24-26th August 2007.
I have enjoyed two successful one-man shows, and presented works in the recent Synopsis Exhibition at North House Gallery, Manningtree.
I have shown ten new collages at the charming Over the Sofa Gallery in Wivenhoe, Suffolk, and have been invited to make an installation here (dates to be advised).
Between exhibitions I have been experimenting with text drawings, and small collaged objects which are planned for larger scale works.
Examples of my work can also be found at the North House Gallery and at Doric Arts, Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
Some of my recent works can be seen on the "Still Wet" page.
In addition to my painting I have, over the past year, been working part-time as a textile conservator. This involves much fine work in the restoration and preservation of tapestries for the National Trust and the Churches' Commission.
I would like to thank Carol, Maya, Penny, Tom and Alison, the two Sues, and May for their love and support through the preparation of my show and the house move, to Nick for creating this wonderful website and to Carol for the photography.
I am always interested to hear your opinions of my work. Please feel free to contact me.
